Getting a friends, friends, friend to move an expensive plane out of a hangar for a photo was hard enough, but recovering from a broken toe was even harder.

I got a call from the Sydney Morning Herald picture editor wanting me to find a cute kid to be photographed with a cool plane, the owner was out of town.

I talked this guy into moving the plane for me out on the tarmac, with minutes to spare till the parents arrived with this kid, I helped naturally.

Well helping was not a smart move, I dropped a metal bar on my toe, breaking it.

I didn't know it was broken and hopped around getting the pictures and filing them from the ute before taking myself to emergency!

Get the shot.
