The lugs are in a ‘T shape’ here in this picture. You create a cut separating the top horizontal part of the T (running parallel with the wagon edge) from the vertical body of the T.
Pushing the blade slowly until the blade hits the deck of the wagon. You want to keep the horizontal part of the T.

In this next step you are aiming to remove the vertical part of the T whilst keeping the small base underneath the T in place.
To do this carefully push the blade into the vertical part of the T. Chiseling away the vertical part, slowly removing the lug (see below picture) do not cut into the small rectangle base of the T.

Hold the wagon carefully with your hand underneath to help support your pressure with the chisel blade. Slowly removing the vertical part of the T. This took me a few goes, do not try and remove in one attempt.

The result should look like this. Do both sides to allow for the 40ft container to sit on 2/3 of the wagon as per prototype.

The container should sit like this. You may need to remove the lugs from the bottom part of the container (1 in each corner) to allow the container to sit flat on the wagon bed.
I use Krystal Clear to glue the base of the container inside the container permanently. Once dry I then use Krystal Clear to glue the container onto the wagon bed. PVA and super glue can be used for this as an alternative however be warned some glues will discolour the wagon and container.
